The St Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic organization that aspires to live the gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and by working to shape a more just and compassionate society.
In parishes, Conferences work to serve the poor within their local communities. Funding is obtained through regular and special collections, fund raising events such as our bi-annual shred event and member donations.
Holy Spirit Saint Vincent de Paul (SVdP) Conference includes men and women who join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron.
Holy Spirit SVdP volunteers provide dedicated services with managing calls from clients in need who call for our assistance, with basic needs, food, shelter, housing assistance, furniture, new beds, frames while providing love and compassion to people in need. A Parish report is provided to parishioners with details of services provided, including financial report for that time period. Additionally, our Transition to Permanent Housing (TPHS) special works program assists individuals and families from homelessness.
If you are interested in becoming involved with our Conference, please reach out by calling our SVdP phone at 916-397-7264 or email us at HS SVdP meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM, in McHugh Hall.
